Inaugural ESTP Tattoo Newsletter
Today, our first newsletter has been sent out to ESTP members. It compiles the recent research literature on the topics of tattoo and permanent make-up. The newsletter is edited by Dr. Marie Leger who will invite other members of the board to write Take Home Points for selected articles. The newsletter also contains a tattooist’s corner that will provide interesting content for a broader audience.
The newsletter is a service provided for our members only. They will soon be accessible and archived on the website after member login.
Pictures and presentations from the ECTP congress in Bern are now online!
Many of the speakers from the ECTP 2019 agreed to publish their presentations online. Take a change to learn from their compiled knowledge! Further, the pictures taken during the conference can now be found on our website. We thank all participants and organizers once again who helped making this such a successful event!
In December 2018, the ECHA announced the 2nd public consultation on the Draft opinion of the ECHA Committee for Socio-economic Analysis (SEAC) on the proposed restriction on substances in tattoo and permanent make-up inks. The members of the ESTP board compiled a second extensive comment about the drawbacks and limitations of the proposed restriction under REACH. The ESTP board also reached out to all members of the society to contribute during this important legislational step that will likely bring many changes to the field in the next years.
